Friendship

At times

I think to myself

what can life be

without a friend?

Oh yes,

I need a friend

just a friend

to share life with

in the openness

and intimacy

of sharing

and caring

loving

and being loved

a soul to soul

and heart to heart

trying to achieve

that unity

of mind too.

I thank God

for my friends

for each one

brightens

my life

and helps me

to grow

to mature

and be happy

in this life!
