Beloved sweetness
I cry in the shadows
of my own reflection
How my sight has failed to see
what has been trying to reach me
Your silent steps
have left deep impressions
in the rivers of my soul
I wrestled with false judgment
only to find myself guilty
of seeding the storm
Embracing frail children
of the night is your calling to me
Sadness travels the world
via the burrowed tunnels
dug by the subterfuge of stability
Where once lived followers
of promised riches,
a garden now has embedded itself
